Erst paar Tropfen auf Parkett, doch auf einmal steht das Wasser	First a few drops on the parquet, but all of a sudden the water is standing
Aus den unteren Etagen dann auch in der ersten Klasse	From the lower floors then also in the first class
Möbel treiben durch die Gegend ein paar kämpfen noch dagegen	Furniture drifts through the area a few still fight against it
Doch am Himmel leuchten schon die roten Notsignalraketen	But in the sky the red distress signal rockets are already shining
Und die Band spielt weiter aber ändert nix daran	And the band plays on but doesn’t change a thing
Immer weiter, stundenlang, die Begleitmusik zum Untergang	On and on, for hours, the accompanying music to the doom
Ein leichtes Schaudern beim Blick auf die da draußen:	A slight shudder when looking at those out there:
„Jetzt schaut euch diese Bauern an, schaut, wie sie ersaufen!“	Now look at those peasants, look how they’re drowning!
Für uns gibt es keine Rettungsringe, Boote oder Westen	For us, there are no life preservers, boats or vests
